From the owner, Ben Hershner: "Growing up with a father that built homes, a step-father that ran heavy machinery and a grandfather with a landscaping design background, remodeling, construction and landscaping were part of everyday life. While working for my father, grandfather and a couple construction related jobs through high school, my skills quickly improved. I began studying business at the University of Cincinnati in 2005. Like so many other collage students, I had to work while I was in college. Instead of working for someone or a company, I decided to use my remodeling skills and some of my new business skills to start my own company. In 2006 I officially registered my business. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what my focus in the remodeling industry was going to be, so I strived to learn as much as I could about remodeling all aspects of the home. I worked on all kinds of different projects, from small to large on both the inside and outside of homes. These early days of remodeling were critical in the development of my craft and became the foundation of my career to come. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. By then, I had been running my own company for 3 years and had made the realization that my destiny was not to work in an office, but to work in the field. The gratification and satisfaction I received working with my hands and the impact I made on homeowner's everyday lives was something no office job could ever give me. With repeat customers and a steady stream of work coming in, I decided to use my new business skills to focus on growing the company I created.

The University of Cincinnati not only gave me the skills I needed to run a successful business, but it was where I met my future wife. While I was attending the College of Business, Karen was attending the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). . . and the rest is history. "
